Tips for event organizers
Organizers asked us what actually makes an event page work. Here is what we have seen so far.
Build it as a draft
An event stays private until you publish it. Use that time to get the details right, because a published event is the one people see first.
Get your seating model right early
Decide whether you are counting free seats, numbered seats, or tickets only, and set it up before you announce anything. Changing it later means changing what people have already booked.
Keep registration short
Every extra field in a registration form costs you registrations. Ask only for what you will actually use.
Check the dashboard before the event
The dashboard shows seats booked and tickets sold per event, so you can see how an event is filling up while it is still running.
Use the votes
If part of the event is a decision, such as which artists to book, run a vote before you commit. One question with one vote per person is enough for most decisions.
Check in by QR
QR check-in is the fastest way through the door. Have an OTP ready as a backup for when a phone camera or a network connection does not cooperate.
