For organizers
Teams, followers, notifications, and your profile
The organization account is not just you. Invite the people who run events with you, and use your followers to fill the room.

Teams
- Open your organization account.
- Invite a member.
- The person you invite gets access to the organization account, and can work on your events with you.
Roles
[TO CONFIRM: roles and what each one is allowed to do]
Inviting someone gives them access to the account. Until the roles above are settled, agree with your team who does what before you invite them.
Followers
People follow organizations, not individual users.
- A user follows your organization.
- When you announce a new event, the people following you are notified.
- They also get the event in their Following feed.
- You see your follower count, and you can search your followers by name.
Searching followers by name is how you reach one person directly when an event needs a nudge.

Notifications
The notification composer sends an update to your audience. It has three parts:
- A title
- A message
- An action URL, which is where the notification takes the person when they tap it
You choose the channel: SMS, push, in-app, or email.
Use it when you announce an event, change a time, or need to tell a room something. Write the action URL so it lands on the event itself rather than the home page.
Your organization profile
Your profile is the public face of the organization:
- Events you have hosted
- Followers
- An editable email and phone
- A feed of upcoming and past events, as tiles

Keep the email and phone current. They are the contact details an attendee has when something goes wrong on the day.
Becoming an organizer
If you have not applied yet, start here. The application is a step-by-step form, and an Evittone admin approves it. Once approved, your account becomes active and you can build events.
One person can register at most two organizations on Evittone for now.
See For Organizers for the full walkthrough.
What attendees see
- Your organization profile with your events, followers, contact details, and event tiles.
- New events in their Following feed, and a notification, when they follow you.
- Nothing from the team or the composer that is not published as an event.
Tips
- Invite your team before your next big event, not after it.
- Put your phone number on the profile. It is what makes the profile credible.
- Use the composer for a change of plan, not for promotion. People follow organizations they have decided to follow.
- Send to one channel where people actually are. Four channels with nothing in them reads as noise.
- Check the follower count before you announce. It is the only reach number you have.
