Ratings
An Evittone rating is not a review from the internet. It is a scan. Only people who were in the room can leave one, which is why the average is worth reading.

Turn rating on even when the event is small. You cannot get verified ratings later.
Ratings are the number people look at first. On Evittone they mean something specific: they can only come from attendees who were verified at the door.
Step 1: Turn on rating
- Open the event and go to the rating module.
- Enable rating.
- Set the end date.
After the end date, users can no longer rate the event.
Step 2: Collect the ratings
- Attendees scan in at check-in.
- That scan is what makes them a verified attendee.
- Verified attendees rate the event from one to five stars.
- The average rating is shown publicly on the event.
Why only verified attendees
Any platform can collect a rating from anyone. Evittone cannot: a rating requires a QR scan at the event.
That single rule means the average you see is the average of people who were there. It is the difference between a review and an attendance record, and it is the reason the number is public.
What attendees see
- A one to five star control, for attendees who were verified by a scan.
- The public average on the event page, for everyone.
- Nothing at all, for anyone who was not verified. They cannot rate and they cannot see a way to rate.
How to use the average
- Read the average next to the written feedback. The two together tell you whether a single loud moment or something real caused the score.
- Compare events, not weeks. A rating is about one event on one day.
- Fix what is repeated. An average that stays flat after two editions of the same problem is not noise, it is a signal.
Tips
- Turn rating on in the draft, before the event. Ratings cannot be collected retrospectively.
- Set the end date a few days after the event, not months later. Ratings lose meaning when they arrive about something nobody remembers.
- Treat the average as a floor to hold, not a score to defend. Verified ratings stay honest because the people leaving them are the ones who were there.
- If you also run feedback, ask for both in the same place. Attendees who have already checked in are far more likely to do both.
